Rules of procedure



To help you make the most of your stay, we've put our house rules at your disposal.
They provide a reference point in case of difficulty during your stay. Booking confirmation commits you to the general and special conditions of the accommodation, and to the house rules of the 4-bedroom Maison Gerval.

Article 1 - Life at Maison Gerval
The guest house is a private place, reserved for adults only.

The hostess welcomes you into her home. There may also be other travellers under the same roof.

That's why we invite you to make the most of all the living spaces at your disposal, in a friendly atmosphere that respects everyone's privacy.
We provide rooms with double beds (or single beds, on request before your arrival), en-suite bathrooms and WCs, furniture and works of art.
For everyone's comfort and peace of mind, we do not welcome children or pets (although we love them).


Article 2 - Arrival / Departure
The tenant must arrive on the day and at the time specified below.

In the event of late or delayed arrival, the tenant must inform the owner of the guest house.
Arrival time: 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Departure time: 10.00 am
Please respect the agreed departure time. We are not professionals in the hotel business, but we must have the time we need to offer our guests the most welcoming accommodation possible.

Article 3 - Issue of access codes
Access codes to the guest house will be given to you on arrival or sent by sms if you are arriving independently.

Article 4 - Breakfast
Breakfast is served inside or outside the house, weather permitting, between 8.00 and 9.30 am.

If you wish to leave before 8.00 am, we can provide you with a "breakfast kit" to take away.

We keep it in the refrigerator in the summer kitchen. Remember to order it before 5:00 pm the day before.


Article 5 - Use of the premises
The tenant must respect the peaceful nature of the premises and use them in accordance with their intended purpose.
Picnics are authorized only on the tables and chairs provided for this purpose in the green areas, depending on the season.

Garden furniture and sun loungers are for your relaxation only.
Noise levels inside the guest house (in rooms and communal areas) must be kept to a minimum in order to respect the peace and quiet of the neighborhood.
In the event of a conflict or complaint, the owner reserves the right to exclude any disruptive elements from the guest house.

Article 6 - Reserved for cyclists
You may park your bicycles only in the following dedicated areas:
A secure garage and an outdoor shelter, for all your mechanical and stop-minute moments.

Bicycle shoes are not allowed on the first floor.

Article 7 - Rooms
Rooms are not intended for laundry or meals.

Visitors have free access to Wi-Fi. Illegal downloading is prohibited.

The guest house declines all responsibility in the event of the disappearance of your valuables (jewelry, multimedia devices, various means of payment, bicycles, etc.).

Article 8 - Safety standards
You are required to respect the capacity of La maison Gerval: 2 people maximum / room.
No cooking appliances may be added to the rooms.
No auxiliary heating appliances may be added to rooms

Article 9 - General provisions
Smoking is prohibited in the entire establishment, including rooms.

Ashtrays are available outside.

We ask our guests to dress decently at all times, and to be dressed and shod when using the common areas.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare and assume, financially, any damage for which he may be responsible.

In the event of breakage, the owner will deduct from the security deposit the amount of the new value of the said equipment.
The kitchen is not available to guests.
Theft and accidents: the owner declines all responsibility in the event of theft or personal injury occurring on the property.

Article 10 - Sleeping areas
No sleeping accommodation is permitted outside the sleeping areas.
It is strictly forbidden to install any additional sleeping accommodation
If, during the rental period, the owner observes that the tenant is in breach of these rules, the owner reserves the right to interrupt the stay of the persons concerned by leaving the premises, without any compensation. In the event of damage, the tenant will be solely responsible for the criminal and civil consequences.

Article 11 - Sanitary facilities
Apart from toilet paper, nothing else may be thrown into the toilet bowl.
Wipes of any kind, diapers, tampons, sanitary towels, cotton buds, etc. must be disposed of in the waste garbage cans provided with garbage can liners, and under no circumstances in the toilet bowl. New bags are available in the rooms.

Article 12 - Eco-responsibility
The owner of La maison Gerval is sensitive to the need to protect our planet and wishes to contribute to the protection of the environment by minimizing the footprint of the operation of her accommodation.
Simple measures can go a long way.
We are therefore counting on your cooperation to: avoid leaving lights on unnecessarily, avoid leaving precious water running and moderate the flow of water when showering.

Article 13 - Swimming pool
Colored beach towels are available in a pink and white basket in the entrance hall, for use only in the pool area. Please return them to the blue basket after use.
These pool rules have been drawn up in compliance with French regulations on the use of family pools open to guests, to prevent accidents and ensure harmonious use. The owners would like to remind all their guests that the pool must not be supervised.

As the pool is a family pool, its use is reserved exclusively for members of the owners' family and guests staying in the guest rooms. Diving and jumping from the edge of the pool are forbidden.
Pool users agree to avoid swimming after using sun cream or oil, to enter the pool area wearing sandals (no street shoes) and not to bring food into the pool area.

Drinks will be served in plastic glasses.
The pool area is open to guests at all times, with due respect for other users.
All pool users must be covered by their own civil liability insurance.

The owner, in the event of repeated breaches of any of the articles, may withdraw the authorization to access the pool area that he has previously granted without compensation of any kind, and declines all responsibility in the event of an accident.

Article 14 - Cleaning
Cleaning is provided on arrival and departure.
Daily cleaning can be provided at a cost of 35€/hour.

Article 15 - Security deposit
A deposit of 250 euros will be requested by bank transfer (registration link sent by e-mail) no later than 7 days before the start of your stay. The deposit will be returned within a maximum of 2 weeks after departure, after deduction of any sums covering damage and/or deterioration caused by the tenant to the accommodation and its furnishings and fittings.

Article 16 - Tourist tax
The town of Bédoin imposes the collection of a tourist tax. The price is set by the town hall.

We apply it in strict compliance with the regulations. Payment can be made either directly via the booking platform, or through us (CB, PAYPAL or cash)
