At the foot of Mont-Ventoux, nicknamed "The Giant of Provence",
Mary-Laëtitia Gerval welcomes you to her Maison de Maître for a unique and privileged experience
Built in the 19th century, the residence stands like a bridge between eras, marking the sacred union of heritage authenticity and contemporary comfort. Provençal terracotta tiles combine with sculpted travertine showers. The eye wanders to the high ceilings, before landing on the staircase, where a hand-blown glass sphere emanates from the know-how of Murano. This maison de maître embraces all modern comforts, with air conditioning in every room, Wi-Fi connection throughout the residence and large double-glazed windows diffusing a flood of natural light while offering remarkable peace and quiet.
Mary-Laëtitia Gerval has captivated the art world with her unique approach and exceptional versatility. Photographer, painter, performer, editor - she embodies the very essence of the protean artist. Her works, imbued with creative audacity and technical precision, transport us into a universe both singular and sensual.
Mary-Laëtitia defines herself as a "jack-of-all-trades", but a demanding jack-of-all-trades. This is reflected in the diversity and quality of her projects, which have earned her an international reputation far beyond the borders of Avignon. Her career has been marked by a constant exploration of various artistic disciplines, from her studies in fine arts to her expertise in photographic production and contemporary drawing.
Art, people, travel, nature and spirituality are the pillars of her inspiration. She pays tribute to beauty and aestheticism in her work, playing with color, staging, nudes and portraiture. Her training in classical painting has enriched her photographic practice, particularly in staging. A striking example is her work for the Conseil départemental de Vaucluse and Actes Sud publishing house, entitled "Relier la terre au ciel", which explores the sacred heritage of our villages. His photographs, inspired by masters such as Albrecht Dürer, Pablo Picasso and Yves Klein, are distinguished by their clarity and almost surreal realism.
In addition to her photographic work, Mary-Laëtitia founded her own publishing house, Gerval, and publishes her work, including the remarkable book "00:58Xy" released in 2013. This book is a unique fusion of art history, gastronomy and fashion. She also collaborated with Christian Étienne, Maître Cuisinier de France, to publish "Fables", a gastronomic art book.
Mary-Laëtitia Gerval is an artist who never stops reinventing herself. Her works, imbued with deep sensitivity and a constant quest for authenticity, continue to enrich the contemporary artistic landscape. Through her many facets, she demonstrates that art is not just a form of expression, but a universal language capable of linking people, cultures and eras.
